I didnt get London BarCamp Tickets but BCS(British Computer Society) and Harry Metcalfe graciuosly organsed
a spill over event .So on Saturday the 27th I was in London for a day of Geekiness.
I finally got my Bar Camp3 Tickets ,so between the 6-7 of September I was at Sussex University for a weekend of geekiness .
Bar Camp is a free-to-attend unconference run by Brighton's local geek community for designers, developers, engineers, entrepreneurs, games geeks or user-experience freaks. A weekend of discussions, demonstrations, talks, coding and socialising where we all come together and learn from each other.
I enjoyed discussions on the social web and the way forward and Buildering(the art of climbing building))

SkillCentre, Masterclass in influencing skills This BCS(British Computer Society)Event was facillitated by Anthony Rees an IT and Management Consultant .He sought to impart the Key SKill of influencing Customers, Colleagues and people at the right levels. It was a fun filled ,hands on presentation
Using Word Press as a CMS A presentation By Mark Kirby for the Brighton Wuffie Club Mark covered the basics of how to create a client site using Wordpress as a simple CMS. He Also explored some of the pro's and con's of using Wordpress as a CMS and show you how to quickly turn a site's HTML and CSS into a Wordpress template.
Telegraph Developers Weekend
Telegraph Labs, the Telegraph web development team's unit that experiments with new tools, hosted a developer weekend from the 26 -27 April which i attended .
The saturday consisted of a morning of presentations and training/sessions from google, apple, adobe ,digg followed by a development competition that lasted through to Sunday.
The talks/sessions were pretty good and from a developers point of view .
It was a vey useful event and cudos to the telegraph event for a well planned event
